Michele, big difference. In those situations with Theismann and Williams and Rypien, you had football-savvy people making the quarterback decisions. Here, you have a jock-sniffing owner playing fantasy football who knows next to nothing about talent evaluation and how to handle people. The one thing you have to agree on is that the situation was poorly handled, letting things get into the media before coming to the man first. Joe Gibbs doesn't agree with you stwasm he basically was quoted as saying what I said. here is his quote: "I have a different outlook on that," Gibbs said of shopping the quarterback he had plucked from Auburn. "At some point you're going to have to take the team down the field in a driving hailstorm to win the game. If you get all uptight about stuff as the quarterback -- if [trade rumors] is something that bothers you -- you're in the wrong position." Translation: Buck up, Jason.
